Registered Architect QLD #5730
AIA EmAGN QLD Committee Member
Charlotte is a passionate advocate for the power of architecture to drive social change.
Charlotte Bell is a Brisbane-based architect with a multi-disciplinary background spanning architecture, interior design, urban design, and master planning.
Over more than a decade in practice, she has led complex projects across education, civic, workplace, and city-making sectors — navigating intricate design challenges and building meaningful relationships with clients, communities, and collaborators. Her work in the education sector reflects a deep conviction that the spaces we inhabit shape the people we become.
Charlotte holds a Master of Architecture, Bachelor of Architecture, and Bachelor of Design and Visual Arts with a major in Interior Design, and is a registered architect in Queensland. Prior to founding her own practice, she worked extensively in large multidisciplinary studios, contributing to high-profile institutional and government projects across Australia.
Beyond her project work, Charlotte is an active contributor to the broader architectural community. She has served on the AIA EmAGN committee since 2023, champions the Archibubs network and mentoring program, and regularly volunteers on industry awards juries.
In 2026, Charlotte founded Alma Architects — a practice built at the intersection of social purpose and commercial excellence. Alma works at a more intimate scale, where careful making, collaboration, and respect for place drive outcomes that are both grounded and ambitious.
